Grades 3–7 / How we coach
Young players learn best when instruction is clear, encouraging, and matched to their stage of development. Coaching for Grades 3–7 focuses on making basketball understandable and enjoyable, while building habits that students can carry into every game.
Coaches break a skill into manageable steps, demonstrate the movement, and give students time to repeat it. Feedback focuses on a clear next step so that learning feels achievable.
Practice can be adjusted to a student’s experience, coordination, and confidence. New players work on getting comfortable with the ball, while more experienced players take on a greater challenge.
Age-appropriate activities connect fundamentals with simple game situations. Students practise listening, sharing the ball, and encouraging teammates as they develop confidence on the court.
TBA collects fees monthly, with a minimum of four sessions. Students starting after the first week of a month are asked to pay for two months upfront. The standard schedule is once per week; the published policy lists an additional $100 monthly for twice-weekly attendance.

Grades 8–12 / How we coach
Coaching for Grades 8–12 connects technical practice with the demands of game play. Instruction is adapted to a player’s experience and development, helping students understand both how to perform a skill and when to use it.
Focused coaching helps players examine shooting balance, ball control, finishing footwork, and defensive positioning. Clear feedback and purposeful repetition support more consistent execution.
Game-based practice challenges students to recognise space, respond to defenders, and choose between passing, driving, and shooting. The aim is to connect skill with awareness rather than practise movements in isolation.
Coaches guide students toward practical goals, strong training habits, and constructive responses to mistakes. Challenges are adjusted to ability and readiness, with teamwork and communication remaining central.

Private coaching / One-to-one tutoring
Think of private coaching as having a personal tutor for basketball. In a one-to-one session, the coach can focus closely on the individual player—observe the details, explain what needs attention, and guide careful practice at the student’s own pace.
Discuss the player’s goals and look closely at current technique. The session can focus on a specific challenge, such as shooting mechanics, ball handling, or finishing footwork.
The coach demonstrates the movement, watches the player’s attempt, and explains adjustments in small, precise steps. Focused repetition gives the student a chance to understand and practise each correction.
Finish with clear priorities for continued practice. Like academic tutoring, the goal is not simply to complete a lesson, but to help the student understand what to work on and how to keep improving.
